The New QRIS Crossborder

🔄 Before This Update

Previously, DOKU QRIS supported cross-border payments from Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore only. Customers from China and South Korea had limited options for cashless payment in Indonesia, often requiring cash or currency exchange before transacting.

Steps:

1. International customer visits merchant

2. Customer unable to pay using their local payment app

3. Customer resorts to cash or other manual payment methods

4. Merchant potentially loses the sale or faces longer transaction time

🆕 After This Update

With cross-border QRIS support for China and South Korea, international customers can now pay directly using their preferred local payment apps and just like they would back home.

Steps:

1. International customer visits merchant

2. Customer scans the merchant's existing DOKU QRIS code

3. Customer pays using their preferred local payment app (e.g., Alipay, Woori Card, Shinhan Bank)

4. Transaction is completed instantly with no currency conversion needed on the merchant's end

Already Active with No Setup Needed This feature is live and automatically enabled for all existing DOKU QRIS merchants. No new QR code, no Dashboard changes, no API integration required.

Supported Issuers : China (New) AliPay Wallet, UnionPay App, and 154 additional banks and mobile banking apps.

Supported Issuers : South Korea (New) Woori Card, Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank.
