# Sub Account V2 - Fund Oversight

Fund Oversight is a new capability under Wallet as a Service (WaaS) that enables businesses to connect employee DOKU e-Wallet accounts directly to the Merchant Dashboard. This feature helps businesses distribute operational funds, monitor balances, and track transactions in real time from a single platform.

Designed for businesses with multiple branches or field teams, Fund Oversight simplifies operational fund management without requiring API integration.

### 🔍 What’s New?

Fund Oversight introduces **Account Linking**, allowing DOKU e-Wallet accounts to be connected directly to a merchant's WaaS dashboard.

Once linked, businesses can distribute funds to employees or operational teams, monitor wallet balances in real time, and review transaction history from a centralized dashboard.

Accounts can be linked through two methods:

* **User-Initiated** – employees link their own wallet using a Sub-Account Referral Code from the DOKU e-Wallet application.
* **Merchant-Initiated** – businesses invite users directly from the dashboard, individually or through bulk CSV upload.

### 💡 Why It Matters

Many businesses with multiple branches or operational teams still manage petty cash through manual bank transfers, messaging applications, and spreadsheet reporting.

These processes provide limited visibility into how operational funds are used and require finance teams to spend significant time verifying balances and reconciling expenses.

Fund Oversight digitizes this workflow by allowing businesses to distribute and monitor operational funds in real time, improving financial visibility while reducing manual administrative work.

### 🚀 How It Works

#### 🔄 Before

Previously, businesses managed operational funds through manual processes.

Typical activities included:

* Finance teams transferred funds individually to employees or branch accounts.
* Employees shared proof of transfer through messaging applications.
* Spending was monitored using spreadsheets or manual reports.
* Finance teams reconciled balances periodically, often at the end of the day or month.

#### 🆕 After

With Fund Oversight, employee wallets can be linked directly to the merchant dashboard.

Finance teams can distribute operational funds, monitor wallet balances, and review transaction activity in real time without manual reconciliation. Every linked wallet becomes visible from a centralized dashboard, providing greater transparency over company spending while simplifying operational fund management.

### ⚙️ How It Works

Getting started with Fund Oversight is simple:

1. Enable Account Linking through Wallet as a Service.
2. Link employee wallets using either:
   * Referral Code from the DOKU e-Wallet App, or
   * Merchant Dashboard (individual or CSV upload).
3. Once linked, employee wallets become visible within the merchant dashboard.
4. Finance teams can distribute operational funds directly to linked wallets.
5. Businesses can monitor balances, transaction history, and fund usage in real time from a single dashboard.
